Home DC motors are rated in peak HP — 5 HP DC peak delivers roughly 3 HP continuous. Commercial AC motors are typically rated at their continuous figure — an 8 HP AC motor delivers a true 8 HP indefinitely. For gym use, CHP is the number that matters.Do commercial treadmills fold?Most true commercial units are fixed (non-folding) because they're permanent floor fixtures.
